FoodDrinkEurope

FoodDrinkEurope represents the European food and drink industry, the largest manufacturing sector in the EU in terms of turnover and employment. It aims to promote the industry's interests to European and international institutions, contributing to a framework addressing, inter alia, food safety and science, nutrition and health, environmental sustainability and competitiveness. FoodDrinkEurope’s contribution is based on sound scientific research, robust data management and effective communication, working within the regulatory framework to ensure that all food and drink issues are dealt with in a holistic manner. The organisation promotes its members’ interests in areas such as food safety and science, nutrition and health, consumer trust and choice, competitiveness, and environmental sustainability. FoodDrinkEurope represents the interests of some 300,000 foods and drink manufacturing companies, more than 99% of which are small and medium-sized enterprises. Communication plays a very important role in our activities, both from a policy perspective and in terms of services to the members. The FoodDrinkEurope membership is composed of the national food and drink federations, of the European sectors and of individual companies.
