Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters

The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of the University of South Bohemia (FFPW) in České Budějovice was established on 1st September 2009. It is a one of the 8 faculties or the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The FFPW is the most complex workplace within Central Europe focused on fisheries, aquaculture, protection of waters and complex systems. The FFPW organizes seminars for professional fishery public and lay public as well. Scientific seminars and conferences provide thematic focus, and there are annually a number of excurses and practical demonstrations.

TRAFOON Successful Open Innovation case:

Dirfis Mushrooms in close collaboration with scientists from the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart) Germany developed dried mushroom products, naturally-enriched with vitamin D in a sustainable way using a innovative solar drying technology.
